alright, i have been thinking, and i have come up with a few things that could be helpful/fun for the guild to do. they would make us grow more as a community and a guild, and we could just have a lot of fun :).
First off, GUILD CLEANUPS might be a great way to make sure everyone on the guild is active. About once a month, or whenever time we want, we could post a notice on the guild notice board in game saying that everyone must post in a thread made on the forums (i.e August Checkup Thread). This could also make the guild more likely to visit the boards and post. Everyone that does NOT post, or does not notify the person in charge that they will be a way could be moved to the 'Inactives' section of the guild, and if they don't log on for the next week or so, they would get kicked. Remember, if you have tell the guild leader that you will be away, then you would be ok.
GUILD CHALLANGES would be a great incentive for many members to level, skill, or PvP, or whatever. If someone makes the specific goal within the alloted time (i.e I made A.Master by 12/31/2008), then the person/people would get a reward, like everyone who made the goal from lvls 1-20 would get 200K. This is also another way to make the board more active.
More later i hope :) Prommie
GUILD ADVERTISMENT PEEPS This oe is simple. Assign a person/people to advertise for the guild for, say, a week. They could get about 5K+ for each person they recruited, and another 5k+ for each member that stayed past the guild cleanup.
GUILD TOURNEYS PvP touneys, Duengons, Anything you want tourneys. Rewards? I'm not sure
A magical hug from emiko, I can't promise it, but she might agree o.o
I like the idea of guild challenges, as they'd encourage lower levels to work their hardest. Of course the prize would depend on the difficulty of the goal, I guess something like a onesided bet? D:
The guild cleanups would actually work well and encourage people to get on the forums, and weed out the people that don't really care to be in the guild.
As for guild tourneys we have another thread for that, although... still trying to figure out how it wouldn't be 2 people in each rank or the entire thing decided by skill rank
I do, in contrast like the idea of dungeon run competition. As it, although partially, doesn't rely only on level and skill level. For example you can have one week competition where slightly broad level groups 75-90 90-110 110-130 130+ compete to see who can finish Lake in Dusk the fastest, who knows people might find some big cash item along the way.
You'd screenshot the end dungeon screen and post it on the forums, this means, if within this week you did a run at 109, and then later on at 115 you'd qualify for both groups with different times.
Actually I like that idea so much I'll post it ^_^
lol IF you did try the guild clean up thing.. dont force people that are active 2 come 2 the forums.. people that you KNOW are active.. that would be... brutal... o_o
Btw, great ideas. But im not sure about the recruitment thing.. its better 2 have a close knit small guild vs i dont know 70% of my guild thing going xD But, definitely recruitin is a good idea. Find some1 u kno and thing suits the guild, give a recruiter a shout and invite him/her.
